Kaeli Weir

Aloha families! My name is Kaeli Weir, and I’m currently continuing my education toward becoming a nurse. I have an Associate of Applied Science degree and am now on the path to nursing school, with dreams of working in either the NICU or Labor & Delivery. I’ve always had a deep love for children, especially babies, and I hope to one day support both little ones in need and their mamas during such an important time in their lives. Childcare has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began babysitting for family members and eventually expanded to caring for neighbors’ and friends’ children during my high school years. I’ve worked with kids ranging from 6 months to 13 years old and have experience babysitting regularly on weekends and some weeknights over the span of a few years. From bottles and bedtime routines to school pick-ups and homework help, I’ve done a little bit of everything! In addition to babysitting, I volunteered for two summers at a local kids’ soccer camp, helping run activities for children ages 3–12. We hosted multiple two-week sessions throughout the summer, and it was such a joy to see the kids gain confidence and friendships while having fun outdoors. Whether it’s a structured game or just kicking the ball around for fun, I love being part of those memories. I also grew up doing swim lessons and am a strong swimmer. I feel confident and safe around water, which is especially helpful when supervising children during beach or pool play. I also love being in the ocean, surfing, paddle boarding, or just swimming, so if your keiki love the water, I’m right there with them! I’d describe myself as kind, loving, patient, and very responsible. I care deeply about children’s well-being and safety, and I always try to be a calming and positive presence in their day. I also enjoy incorporating fun and creativity into our time together, whether we’re doing arts and crafts, building forts, reading books, or just running around outside. I tailor activities to your child’s interests to make sure they feel seen and supported. While getting my associates degree I minored in Pacific Island Studies and have learned cultural dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Aotearoa, and Fiji. I even know how to make leis, which can be a really fun activity. Whether you’re looking for someone to jump into imaginary play, help with bedtime routines, or support learning and fun through engaging activities, I’d love the opportunity to be that person for your family. Mahalo, I look forward to meeting you and your keiki!
