Alena Arrigo
Hi! My name is Alena Arrigo. I am in my late twenties and I just recently moved to the North Shore about 8 months ago from Newport Beach, California. Here’s a little bit about me: I am adventurous, kind, patient, fun, and compassionate. I love animals, kids, music, and traveling. I have 4 sisters, 2 nephews, and once niece. I graduated college with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I am very passionate about mental health and wellness. I have always considered becoming a child therapist or working with children in a similar way. In high school, I worked at our Special Olympics for 2 years which I loved. This interest led me to work with children with Autism as an ABA therapist for a short time in 2023. Being able to help children gain confidence in their abilities and realize for themselves that they were capable of doing every day activities was extremely rewarding. At the end of 2023 I received my 200 Hour yoga teacher training certificate in Bali. This felt a little closer to what I wanted to do. I am not yet teaching yoga classes in the public space but I am very active in my own practice and love to help my friends and family with yoga. Helping kids learn yoga is especially fun and I love teaching it to the littles I babysit. In the meantime, I currently work for a dog daycare remotely as an administrative assistant, where I worked as a full time dog pack walker back home, and also work at The Beach House by Roy Yamaguchi at Turtle Bay. I have always babysat since the time I was a teenager, starting out with my little sisters who are 11 and 9 years younger than me. I have consistently worked for families in my community to babysit as well as my own niece and nephews. I have worked with ages ranging from 1-13. I love to be silly and active with my kiddos and really engage in my inner child with them through activities like playing at the beach, park, pool, or anywhere outside. I was a junior lifeguard and surfer growing up, and worked as a pool lifeguard in my community as well for 2 years. Ocean and water safety is very important to me and I always make sure to talk to my kiddos about it before a swim. I very much look forward to meeting you and having some fun with your kiddos!
