Sophie Mangan-Sandler
Aloha My name is Sophie. I was raised by a mom who is a chef which cultivated my love for cooking and baking. I grew up in the Pacific NorthWest and moved to the island a little over two years ago. I am also very passionate about the outdoors, specifically the water, which is one of the main reasons I moved out here. I got my BA in Cultural Anthropology at the Western Washington University. I have been working as a Registered Behavioral Technician for more than two years. I am currently aiming to get my masters in ABA Behavioral Health which focuses on creating an individualized learning plan for students with ASD while also ensuring the client and the environment are as safe as possible for the teachers and students in the classroom. I enjoy interacting with kids of all ages. Every child is different and I love learning about their interests and dislikes, as I believe this is extremely helpful when building a good rapport. I think it is important for kids to learn, explore, and have fun while being safe; that is my main goal as a childcare provider. As a mom of a three year old I can understand it is most difficult to trust someone with your baby or babies which is why I really value great communication on both ends. I feel this will create the best experience for all parties involved. I look forward to working with you, mahalo.
