Hello beautiful families! my name is Reina Lande. I am 20 years old and currently living in Oahu’s wonderful North Shore, where I’m enrolled in scuba diving school with the goal of getting my dive master’s license. I was born in San Francisco California, yet my parents raised my little sister and me in Mexicos Yucatan. Growing up in Mexico my life was very centered around the care of young children. My mother was a midwife who took me to several births and taught me how to care for babies. I have always had a love and deep connection with children, I believe in the intelligence of play and the imagination. Whether that is dancing, singing, creating art projects, or even making up entire theater performances! I have babysat children of all ages for as long as I can remember. I worked as a summer camp counselor in San Francisco’s Ghirardelli Square cooking school for about 3 summers. We worked with kids ages 2-10 and taught them the importance of food and the joy of cooking! I also taught an after-school cooking class at my local preschool. As a scuba diver the natural world is a super important part of my life. I believe that it is very beneficial for kids to experience nature and all its wonders!
