Nalani Ravelo
Aloha kakou! My name is Nalani, I’m in my early 30’s, and I was born and raised here on the island of Oahu. In 2018 I earned my B.A. degree in psychology and in 2020 I completed the national emergency medical response course to become an EMT, so I am comfortable and confident in emergency situations. I also decided to continue my education by studying STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) with online classes. I currently work as a behavioral specialist for children with autism in schools as well as homes. Currently I am working in a preschool but have worked with children from ages 3 all the way to 19.
Coming from a big family, childcare has been a natural part of my life. From the age of 12 I have been babysitting my nieces, nephews, cousins, hanai family, friends, and neighbors. It has been such a joy to watch them grow, learn, and create lasting memories together! In my free time I love to enjoy nature. From the mountains to the ocean, there is always something fun to do! I would love to show you my 10 minute waterfall hike! Or maybe planting kalo (taro) at my cousin’s farm. Then there is the ocean! Growing up, we were always at the beach; surfing, snorkeling, fishing, diving, and more. As an adult, at least twice a week I swim with friends and family to flat island in Kailua. I would love to share these experiences with your family as well.
