Morgan Tomlinson
Aloha, my name is Morgan Tomlinson and I currently reside in beautiful Kaneohe, HI. I was born and raised in southern California, but I moved to Hawaii to be closer to my family. I have been loving it ever since as Hawaii has given me so many wonderful opportunities. I’m in my late twenties and a recent college graduate from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM). I studied Elementary Education while at UHM, and I am passionate about education and health. I also love to travel, hike, and work with children. I have been working in education/childcare for over 5 years and have developed a love for working with and teaching children. In the future, I plan to go back to school to become a pediatric nurse so that I may make a meaningful impact on children and our community as a whole. My journey in education/childcare began at Huakailani School for Girls in early 2017. For a year and a half, I worked closely with the teachers and students at Huakailani School for Girls. During my time there, the teachers taught me valuable lessons about working with children and the importance of the teaching profession. I learned how to connect with students, to be understanding of a diverse group of children, and the importance of interactive teaching. In addition, the time that I have spent working with, learning from, and teaching students confirmed my aspiration of working with children. As I begin and further my career, I am overjoyed to take the experiences and knowledge I obtained throughout my time at UHM and the Hawaii DOE and support families around Oahu. When I’m babysitting, I love to take children outside to play, explore arts and crafts, and engage in other entertaining activities all with the parents’ approval. For example, going to the park, the beach, etc. I very much look forward to meeting you and caring for your children.
