My name is Kathryn Rose. I am an educator with the Department of Education (DOE), a coach, advocate, and servant to others. My credentials are Public Administration Justice, Minor in Political Science, Fashion Design, Business Entrepreneur, Special Education, Domestic Violence advocate and a child of the God. I spent over 25-years in weekly community service activities including homeless, seniors, youth programs and mission activities. I spent the first 18-years of life as an athlete. I then became a Fashion Designer, a buyer traveling from the north of Canada to southern California, and east to Asia and Australia (ultimately making the Hawaii Islands my home for 25-years), and owned 2 Wedding Stores. Of course, strong family values and raising 2 healthy Hawaiian born children changed everything. My goals became their education and rearing. I sacrificed career for family. My focus has been servicing community, families and church ever since. I teach the VALUE of FAMILY – “Heritage Kids.” The next generation is #1.

My daughter was Dyslexic and AD, so I returned to school for more education with 2000 hours in special needs which indeed changed my career to my current position which I love: HEALTH teacher for KMS, grade 6. I have been teaching 11-years from PreK to K12. I focus on Social Emotional Learning, Preventive programs, Self Esteem, Nutrition & Body Systems, good decision-making and setting goals for life. It is an amazing opportunity to give back the wealth of knowledge I have been given. Both of our children are healthy, responsible, college career oriented and financially independent of us.

Health is key. I walk or jog 6 miles on the #1 rated world beach of Kailua 4-6:00 am to catch sunrises and creation weekly. I grew up at the YMCA, attended brownies, girl scouts, 10-12 years of baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball and was an All-Star hockey player for 11 years. I am still a YMCA gym member, where I play tennis, swim, and coach today. I sing in the choir and solo to your babies.

I service Military families retreat events bi-weekly, caring for the children of our veterans who protect our country; and I sit for Hawaii visitor families’ weekly, nights and weekends, so parents may enjoy date night & the precious Hawaii Islands, I love so much!

Families entrust me with their new-born to teens. I serve at your request and offer not only in-room sitting, but also nature and adventure hikes to all the free hot spots in Waikiki, pool lessons, ocean beach days, and just about anything with safety as a number one factor. I have all standard CPR, annual background checks, DOE health prevention standards, and checks done annually, including updated COVID-19 rules followed.

Parents, children and others have best described me as, “Amazing, can we take her home mom, best teacher ever, best nanny, fun, energetic, calm, patient, professional, responsible, kind, a saint, the best toys, and a miracle maker calming anxiety parents and or child separation issues into safe and professional care”.
