Amber Rexford
Aloha! My name is Amber Rexford. I was born and raised in California but had the dream of moving to beautiful Hawai’i. I finally made it here at the beginning of 2020! I have my B.S. degree in Business Administration, but I am currently pursuing my teaching credential. My career aspiration is to be an elementary school teacher because I am passionate about learning, teaching, and working with kids. I also currently work as a substitute teacher. I have worked with kids for 14+ years in various positions that include babysitting, working at summer camps, coaching tennis lessons, and volunteering for the Special Olympics. My experience also includes working as a registered behavior technician for children with Autism and ADHD where I focused on resolving challenging behaviors for kids with autism, and teaching them proper social and communication skills. I have experience with kids of all ages and abilities. I am very passionate about teaching children new skills as well as keeping things fun for them with crafts, games, sports, etc. My hobbies and interests outside of my work include hula and Tahitian dancing, tennis, swimming, kayaking, hiking, baking, and photography. Additionally, I’m very interested in learning foreign languages, so I am currently studying French as well as American Sign Language. I’m a very patient person and I place high importance on children’s safety and well-being. I very much look forward to meeting you, taking care of your children, and making sure they have a fun, safe time with me!
