Aloha, my name is Abbygail. I moved here to Honolulu HI from Spokane WA last year to further my education in the study of marine biology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I have been a nanny for many families back on the mainland since I was 14 and always enjoy the time I get to spend with the kids I take care of. During my year here on Oahu I have researched and learned about the history and mythology of the island. I enjoy the natural beauty of Oahu. I’m an avid snorkeler and hiker and I am getting my scuba certification soon. Safe and informative outdoor activities are my forte, as I love to help encourage a curiosity of nature. During these activities I love to observe and document the diverse ecology of the island. I have played roller derby for the past 9 years of my life. I have experience teaching children as young as 4 to roller skate safely. I am also interested in the performing arts. I sang in choirs for 6 years and have the ability to teach singing skills and how to read and write sheet music. I am currently in the process of learning how to play the ukulele. I am learning how to speak Hawaiian and Spanish, and I can speak conversational French. I look forward to getting to know your family!
