We have a harmonious relationship with the local care companies, both being a referral exchange partner and a staffing solution. Being the only referral source for on-call care, we do not see ourselves as your competitor. Therefore, we would love to refer clients to each other. We also provide pre-screened, experienced, high-quality, last-minute backup kahu (care providers) when your needs arise; ensuring continued reliability for your company’s clients.

To schedule kahu to care for your company’s clients, please call our Director Zipporah 808-690-0948. She will gather the information needed to make a match and collect your credit card information for the $69 company service fee.
At the time of booking, you can schedule up to 3 days of services provided for the $69 fee. If more than 3 days of services are needed we will need to charge more than one service fee. The service fee is non-refundable, even if your client decides to change or cancel the scheduled care. However, we will not charge your card if a kahu is not available for your request & therefore we are unable to provide our services to you.
Next, we will contact our experienced, reliable Kahu who fit the description of your needs & schedule.
You will receive a link to view your kahu’s photo, read her bio, & review her completed screening checklist. She will contact you or your company’s client (whichever you prefer) to introduce herself.
At the end of each shift she works for you, please pay her directly $40 per hour. If you have asked your kahu to drive her vehicle as part of the service she provides to your client, you will need to also pay her $0.67 per mile. Individual client’s pay Kahu in cash, but we understand this may not be feasible for a care company. You can ask her which alternative types of payment she can receive from you, such as check, Venmo, PayPal, or Cash app.
Future Bookings:
In order for our business to stay in business, we cannot allow the care company’s continued access to the Kahu you have been matched with. We respectfully require you pay the $69 company service fee each time a need arises.
If we find that a company & kahu have chosen to keep their ongoing engagement a secret we will need to discontinue our relationship with both.
Insurance Note: Unfortunately, On Call Kupuna Care and Kahu do not have a way to accept insurance at this time. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this inconvenience.
Cancellation Policies
After we match you with a kahu, if you decide to cancel your entire reservation we will still charge your credit card the $69 non-refundable service fee for our time.
Additionally there is a $40 cancelation fee for your kahu when cancelling within 12 hours. For example: If you place a reservation with us then cancel within 12 hours your credit card will be charged $109 (the $69 service fee for the company + $40 for the kahu).
If you cancel with 4 hours or less notice you will be charged in FULL for the entire shift you had reserved the kahu for & the $69 company service fee.
